It’s time to give up
But who is it that gives up?
Okay I give up
A lovely and timely corrective to some temporally solipsistic swirling I was in the middle of indulging myself in. Thank you for sharing this slice of mindful clarity, Bela 🙂
Welcome! Thanks for taking time to comment so cleverly 😉
It would be certainly nice, Bela, if we could see into our future, try to get what we “needed” in a timely manner. Ha ha ha! ♡
I actually wrote this poem at least 10 years ago, Robin. Now I feel as though I wouldn’t want to see my future, even if it were possible. xoxo
Exquisite – the ubiquitous glitch in humankind, or should I say human mind? H ❤
Thank you as ever, Hariod 😉 And yes, if there’s any collective nemesis of humanity, surely this must be it! Cheers!
To want a certain thing you must first become a certain person
then that thing is of no importance.
To want for nothing is to have it all._/\_
What a wonderful Image Bella you have added here.. Yes once upon a time I wanted to know what the future held.. Now I am content within that moment, preferring to savour the ‘pregnant’ pauses of life :-)… Which to be honest with you seem less and less, as life speeds along 🙂 ❤
What we want is not always what we need. A beautiful piece.
