New Year Taps

(Modified from the original Boy Scout Taps)

Aloha, and many blessings on this new year! May we each find peace, fulfillment and understanding of our judgments and limitations so that we might transcend! Blessings! ::::

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, hope is nigh.

Fading light, dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright.
From afar, drawing nigh, falls the night.

Thanks and praise, for our days,
‘Neath the sun, ‘neath the stars, neath the sky;
As we go, this we know, hope is nigh.

Saying goodbye to 2018
Welcoming in the new!

    1. Mahalo, Sue! Grateful for you in my life as well, dear one. May we experience moments of deep clarity and vision as the year progresses. I have good feelings about this one, whereas I sort of dreaded 2018 from its inception. Let’s hope. Aloha! ❤

      1. Love that song, Bela! I can hear George Harrison’s influence in there . . . Something tells me that video struck a chord with your tingly-teenage past . . . Mine too. Sorry I haven’t been around for ages but I’ve had a WP break to keep focused on other (writing) stuff. Sending tons of love to my favourite rock-chick-poetess! H ❤

    1. We did as well! For whatever reason, the song popped into my head for the New Year. What a blast – out with 2018, in with the new! And so, so welcomed. What a crazy year 2018 was for everyone I know! May peace and contentment abide with you, Betty. Aloha ❤
