Apparitions #writephoto

Gaze long enough into the mist
and forms appear, a figure, two,
fairy folk, the hag, an angel,
as if the barge to Avalon had
never faded far into memory;

Look without looking, summon
with your heart wide open
and perhaps they will come,
hestitant at first, trusting
no human (and who can blame them),
but you, you seek their trust,
and all artists know what it is
to be marginalized;

These folks or angels
(for who can say), appearances
fluctuating according to pleasure
or whim, shape-shifters all,
having learned wariness long ago
beyond our reckoning surely
as we grow impatient, sharpening
rather than softening the retinae,
losing rather than capturing,
lessons learned well
in the dominant paradigm
of patriarchy;

Balance is the way of the world,
and She will have her way; yet
we who remain curious witness
this reemergence, resurgence
in a world increasingly in need
of visions thus recreated.

  1. The soft and passive focus, the looking and seeing without looking (at) and seeing (things); falling asleep whilst remaining aware: these can be gateways, portals, I agree. I suspect it’s a matter of leapfrogging the mind’s incessantly predictive mode, its obsessive patterning into the familiar, where all that may be found is the old, regurgitations, hand-me-downs. It’s a hell of a trick. H ❀

    1. Exactly. And easier for some of us than for others. In the Enneagram model, I’m a ‘gut’ type. I function first from my gut, my instincts, which still might want to jump to a deeper meaning instead of simply Being in the moment as it is given, regardless. For ‘head’ types, the mind is a real nemesis. It takes much more effort to quell the constant anxiety-driven mind in order to be present. For ‘heart’ types, the challenge is to frame an experience outside of a need to fill a void inside or be the center of … thus missing the moment for simply what it is. Tricky, indeed for all concerned, though I always perceive those inner tangles.

      Thanks, as ever, for your ever-brilliant insights. Love. πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ’œ

  2. Beautiful poetry Bela, I know many such ‘Be’ings just waiting for those very ‘mists’ of time/dimensions to fall away, who have always been hidden in plain sight for those with gifts enough to see/feel them .
    I am finding myself delving ever deeper into those mystic realms of reality Bela.. Knowing that soon the veils will fall as the matrix breaks down.
    Those of us already trusting our instincts and visions will welcome those encounters of that I am sure.

    Yes Balance is the way of the world Bela, and she has yet to have her last say in it all.. We would do well to listen and take heed those warnings..

    Loved your photos and those trees, just beautiful … πŸ™‚ ❀ πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’–

    1. Thanks, my friend.

      Yes, even Chris comes home having seen … and I look at him questioningly … was it this dimension or? Often he really can’t say. As I have long seen ‘beyond,’ it’s not unusual for me to have bleedthroughs, though even saying that, it seems to be more frequent these days. I welcome it. The shift is coming.

      Love, peace, wishing you these and more. πŸ™πŸŒΊβ€οΈ

      1. I think the densities are breaking down, the veils are thinning, and those with eyes to see will see, as they say.. Fairies, Goblins, Elves, among other entities have always been there, just on another frequency, but as we raise our vibrations we are seeing more πŸ™‚ including when we sky watch! πŸ™‚
        Love right back dearest Bela, Enjoy your garden.. The rain swelling the crops and giving me a chance here to catch back up on WP πŸ™‚
        And yes, the Shift IS coming!! πŸ˜‰ ❀ Hugs right back ❀
