And We Are One

A light shaft slices
down the lane
through the truffled
cover of night,
bouncing heaven-first
to shoulders, traveling
the length of my spine
to the tips of chilled fingers,
then perceived again clearly
through another’s warmed skin,
like holding a flashlight
to the palm
of my own hand.

  1. Lovely Bela, and we are in sync for I am halfway through a piece that has light piercing through upward lifted eyes and travelling down the spine. Now that’s synchronicity!

  2. Beautiful Words Bela, I was sort of worshipping the Sun the other day, as the rain clouds parted and I was able to sit on my swing in my togged up gear as its still cold… And just allow those rays to penetrate my skin..
We need the LIGHT my friend…
Love and hugs your way.. Enjoy your week Bela… ❤ ❤ ❤

  3. The duality of light and truffled cover of the night make for a delectable imagery, Bela. Trust you and yours are safe and fine in sunny Hawaii. Be well…

    1. Glad you liked it, Raj. I’ve been trying to catch up on reading – yours is, as expected, a bit long. But I love to read your posts and will catch up soon! Be well, indeed. You too!
